Join Carl Danzig, MD, FASRS as he considers a case of PDR and DME in a patient with well-controlled diabetes. Starting with a high level view of the current treatment landscape, this case consult then focuses on evidence supporting use of intravitreal anti-vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF) therapies to treat PDR and DME as first-line therapy. Dr Danzig then reviews results from the YOSEMITE\/RHINE and PHOTON trials for faricimab and aflibercept 8 mg, respectively. Both of these trials include patients with PDR and DME.
